Barometer 29.95 inches rising to 30.00 at 0800 and to 30.05 at noon before falling to 29.98 at 1600 and then rising to 30.03 at 2000 before finishing at 30.02 inches at midnight.Temperature at noon 83F. 0001. Sighted Colombo Light. 0140. Altered course to N69W and eased to 50 revolutions. 0400. Course as requisite. Laying off Colombo. 0700. Entered harbour. 0800. Wind SW force 3 with broken cloud. Stopped and came to port anchor in 4 fathoms. Veered to 2 ½ shackles. Tied up astern to mooring buoy. Drew fires. Found in harbour HMS Pomone.
