Stopped and came to in Lamu with sandy bottom in 6 ½ fathoms and veered to 3 shackles. Banked fires. 1715 mustered at Quarters. Anchorage bearings Minaret Shella N 27W. Pillars S76W Magnetic. Coal expended 9 tons 18 cwt. Number on sick list 11.
