At Chatham. Wind calm with broken cloud. Barometer 30.29 inches falling to 30.27 at 0800 and to 30.25 at noon before finishing at 30.22 inches at midnight. Temperature at noon 41F. Received 180 lbs of beef and 75 lbs of vegetables plus 210 lbs of bread. 0900. Commissioned. 0930. Both watches provisioning and drawing stores. 1315. Both watches employed as requisite. 1600. Wind SE force 1 with broken cloud. 1630. Read stations and exercised General Quarters and Fire Quarters.  Special leave to starboard Watch. Coal expended 8 cwt. Number on sick list – Nil.
