Barometer 29.84 inches  rising to 30.02  at 0800 before falling to 29.93 at noon and to 29.80 at 1600 before finishing at 29.85 inches at midnight. Temperature at noon 91F. 0200. Received 122 lbs of fresh beef and 83 lbs of vegetables plus 134 lbs of soft bread.  0630. HMS Pique arrived and anchored. 0800. Dressed ship rainbow fashion. Read Warrant number 80. 1000. Hands employed painting ship and as requisite. 1100. Diving party cleaning ship’s bottom. Noon. Wind SSE force 2. Joined salute of 31 guns. 1300.
