At number 5 buoy in Bombay Harbour.  Wind calm with broken cloud Barometer 30.10 inches rising to 30.16 at noon before falling to 30.09 at 1600 and finishing at midnight at 30.16 inches. Temperature at noon 84F. 0400. Steam up in cutter. 0500. Received 117 lbs of fresh beef and 35 lbs of vegetables plus 188 lbs of bread. 0600. Funeral party landed.  (Does not say for whom) 0730. Completed getting up stream cable and restoring Quick Fire magazine. 1000. Funeral party returned. 1045. Shifted berth in tow of dockyard tug.  Noon. At number 12 buoy. 1330. Make and mend clothes. 1710. Mustered at Quarters.  Washed clothes. Coal expended 3 cwt. Number on sick list 12.
