Received 160 lbs of fresh beef and 80 lbs of vegetables. 0900. Employed cleaning ship and boats. 1410. Weighed and proceeded out of harbour. 1445. Shaped to SW by S at 54 revolutions. Wind SW by S force 2 with broken cloud. 1545. Fired quarterly ammunition from 3 pounder quick fire guns at a rock.  Expended 32 filled cartridges and 16 filled cartridges for steel shell. 1600. Working engines as requisite. 1615. Proceeded. 1515. Mustered at Quarters. Coal expended 9 tons. Number on sick list 9.
