At single anchor in Aden Harbour.  Wind ENE force 1 with broken cloud increasing to force 3. Barometer 29.95 inches rising to 30.02 at noon before falling to 29.97 at 1600 and finishing at 30.02 inches at midnight. Temperature at noon 89F.

0400. Raised steam in cutter. Received 124 lbs of fresh beef and 62 lbs of vegetables plus 195 lbs of bread.
0800. Divisions and prayers. 13 CL D??? (Unable to read handwriting) joined from MELPOMENE. Employed as requisite.
1600. Discharged 11 French S.B.S and 4 (?) (Unable to read handwriting) to hospital. Quarters. Discharged one (?) (Unable to read handwriting) to BONAVENTURE (?) for passage to England and one S.A.A. to HMS Marathon for passage to England. Station sloop sailed.
1915. Drew fires in cutter. HMS Edgar arrived.
