At single anchor in Aden Harbour.  Wind south force 3 with broken cloud and squalls. Wind later becoming ESE force 1 increasing to force 2 with broken cloud. Barometer 29.93 inches rising to 30.04 at 0800 before falling to 29.92 at midnight. Temperature at noon 89F. 0400. Received 128 lbs of fresh beef and 64 lbs of vegetables plus 100 lbs of bread. Exercised quarterly practice from field guns. 0800. Divisions and prayers. Exercised general Quarters. Ordinary Seamen at rifle drill. Remainder as requisite. 1100. HMS Stork sailed. 1300.
