Barometer 29.85 inches increasing to 29.90 at 0800 and to 29.93 at noon before falling to 29.88 at 1600 and to 29.87 at 2000 and finishing at 29.90 inches at midnight. Temperature at noon 85F. 0800. Wind SW force 3. 0930. Sighted Prongs Light House.

Tested life buoys.  1015. Altered course to S45. 1100. Course as requisite for entering harbour. Noon. Wind SW force 2 to 3 with blue sky. 1330. Stopped and came to on port anchor in 4 fathoms and veered to 3 shackles. 1500. Weighed and proceeded to number 13 buoy. 1600. Wind SSW force 1 to 3. 1604. Secured to buoy and drew fires. Draught forward 13 feet 2 inches. Aft 15 feet 8 inches. Coal expended 14 tons 12 cwt.  Number on sick list 8.
