Moored ship with 50 fathoms on port cable and 52 fathoms on starboard cable. Out boom boats. Anchor bearing Outer beacon N 11 E. Large tree landing place S72E. Sunley’s chimney S40E.
1330. Manned and armed boats. Boats away firing shot and shell. Shifted berth with steam. Moored with 2 ½ shackles on broken bottom and 6 ¾ on sandy bottom.
