Barometer 30.10 inches rising to 30.15 at 0800 and to 30.17 at noon before falling to 30.15 at 1600 and 30.10 at 2000 before finishing at 30.08  inches at midnight. Temperature at noon 83F. 0400. Received 140 lbs of beef and 70 lbs of vegetables plus 270 lbs of bread.  Stokers training class in T.B. Prepared for coaling. Noon. Wind calm. 1300. One rating joined from hospital. Coaling ship. 1600. Wind NW force 1. 1630. Finished coaling ship.  Received 250 tons. Cleaning ship. 2000. Wind calm.  General leave to watch. 2200. Liberty men and patrol returned. Coal expended 5 cwt. Number on sick list 3.
