Altered course to SW by W. 0630. Increased to 85 revolutions – 8 knots. 0930. Mustered by divisions. Altered course to SW by S ½ S. 1030. Increased to 90 revolutions. Performed Divine Service. Position at noon 4.21S 39.53E speed 8 knots. 1500. Observed Pemba Island ahead. 1600. Course as requisite. 1715. Mustered at Quarters. 1720. Stopped and came to in Misuka Bay with broken bottom in 11 ½ fathoms and veered to 3 shackles. Banked fires.  Anchorage bearings Ras Kegomache N84W Eastern extension of beach S2 W. coal expended 18 tons 19 cwt. Number on sick list 10.
