Altered course to E by S ½ S.  Proceeded half ahead at 2.5 knots. 0620. Stopped off Port Ki???u. Fired a fuze and sounded a signal to cruising boats. 0745.  Communicated with HMS Agamemnon’s whaler and gave mails for cruising boats. Working engines as requisite.0800. Off coast. 0830. Proceeded at 75 revolutions. Course N by E. 0930.Mustered buy divisions. Performed divine Service. 1045. Reduced to 60 revolutions – 6. 5 knots. 1340. Reduced to 55 revolutions – 1.6 knots. Observed HMS Turquoise and Algerine in Mombasa Harbour.. 1500. Stopped off Mombasa and communicated with TURQUOISE and ALGERINE by boat. 1600. Laying to off Mombasa. Wind NE force 3 working engines as required. 1615. Mustered at Quarters.  17.45. Proceeded slow.1800. Shaped to ENE. 1845 Altered course to NE by N ¼ N. 2200. Altered course to NE ¼ N. 2230. Altered course to ENE at I knot. Coal expended 12 tons 16 cwt. Number on sick list 11.
