Exercised hoisting – Not under control light. 0300. Exercised sea boats crews and watch closing watertight doors.  0500. Observed deviation to standard compass 6.0 degrees west. 0900. Exercised hoisting – Not under control lights. 1000. Repeated exercise. 1030. Hands employed cleaning paintwork. Noon. Position 45.57N 7,57W at 8.5 knots. Wind north force 1 to 2. 1300.
