Received 116 lbs of fresh beef and 58 lbs of vegetables. 0730 Took the Guard. 0800. Coaling ship. 1000. Watch firing Morris Tube at target. Noon Lit fires and raised steam in one boiler for distilling. PM. As in forenoon. 1800. Finished coaling receiving 270 tons. 1845. HMS Pigeon arrived. Coal expended 2 tons 4 cwt.
