Temperature at noon 87F. 0500. Received 115 lbs of fresh beef and 55 lbs of vegetables.  Received for boiler 10 ½ tons of fresh water. 0800. Wind N by E force 2. 0900 Mustered by Divisions. Inspected arms and read prayers. Employed as requisite. Fired short practice.  Noon. Steam cutter cruising in western channel. PM. Employed cleaning ship and as requisite. Firing short practice. 1600. Wind ENE force 2. 1630 Mustered at Quarters. Expended 31 12oz SC cartridge for 7 pounder. 31 Shell for 7 pounder. 50 short quill tubes. Coal expended 5cwt.
