Moored in Bombay Harbour. Wind north force 1 but from varying directions during the day. Broken cloud. Barometer 29.98 inches rising to 30.01 at noon and finishing at 30.02 inches at midnight. Temperature at noon 84F. 0200. Stopped coaling. Received 135 tons. Received 122 lbs of fresh beef and 61 lbs of vegetables plus 211 lbs of soft bread.  0600. Raised steam in steam cutter. Lost while coaling two coir fenders. Noon. Hands ashore filling coal lighters. 1930. Coal lighters came alongside. Coal expended 9cwt. Number on sick list 6.
