Working up for full speed trial.  0800. Course as for trial.  0810. S20E. Eased up. 0830. Steaming at 122 revolutions on all boilers – 12 knots.  Marines training class at instruction. Starboard battery at 6 inch drill. Torpedo tubes crews at drill. Noon. Wind ESE force 1.  Position 28.4N 57.9E. Lost overboard one buoy.  Draught 14.3 inches forward. 15 feet 6 inches aft. . Employed as requisite.  1230. Finished 4th quarter trial. 1430. Altered course to S57E at 103 revolutions – 10 knots. 1600.  Wind SSE force 2 Quarters. Exercised watch – Man and arm ship. 2000. 103 revolutions wind SE force 2.  Coal expended 41 tons 4 cwt. Number on sick list. 6.
