At anchor off Bushehr. Wind NE force 2 with broken cloud. Barometer 29.93 inches falling to 29.90 at 0800 and then rising to 29.97 at noon before falling to 29.93 inches at 2000 where it finished at midnight. Temperature at noon 83F.  0200. Received 130 lbs of beef and 67 lbs of vegetables plus 230 lbs of bread.  0600. Cleaning ship. Received 5 tons of washing water.  0830. Weighed and proceed as requisite for Rosbaler (Rishahr – there are several spellings) anchorage. 0915. Stopped. 100. Came to and veered to 3 shackles. Wind NW force 3 to 4. Noon. Wind NW force 6 with broken cloud with passing rain and squalls. 1300. Cleaning ship. 1600 Wind WNW force 6 with broken cloud and ugly threatening appearance with passing showers.  1700. Quarters.  2000. Anchorage bearings. Mosque S86E. Lower (?) (Unable to read handwriting) NNE.  Drew fires.  Coal expended 4 tons 10 cwt. Number on sick list 7.
