0520. Observed HMS Raleigh, CURACOA and Beech ahead.

0715. Communicated by boat with CURACOA.

0850. Stopped and received coal bags from HMS Raleigh.
1000. Proceeded in company with RALEIGH. Course N ¾ W Steering as requisite at 4 to 5 knots.
1100. Watch filling coal bags. Lost by fouling propeller one 10 fathom hand lead and line. Position at noon. 14.22S 41.15E. Wind SSW force 3.
1330. Filling coal bags.  In company with RALEIGH.
