Barometer 29.74 rising to 29.80 at 0800 and to 29.82 at noon before dropping t 29.77 at 1600 and to 29.76 inches at 2000 where it finished at midnight. Temperature at noon 83F. 0200. Distilling. O530. Lit fires in steam boat. 0730 Weighed and proceeded into inner anchorage. 0800. Wind SSE force 1. 0830. Stopped and came to starboard anchor in 4 ¼ fathoms and veered to 5 shackles off Bushehr. 100. Commenced coaling. Banked fires.  Received 130 lbs of beef and 67 lbs of vegetables plus220 lbs of bread. Noon. Wind west force 1. 1300. Coaling ship. 1600. Wind south force 1. Coaling ship. 1900. Finished coaling for day. 2000. Wind SW force 1. Drew fires in steamboat.  Coal remaining 157 tons 8 cwt.  Number on sick list 4.
