1000 Set main Top gallant sail. Employed repairing main Topsail, Mainsail  and forecastle awning. Artificers making good small defects.

PM Set Fore and Main trysails, furled courses. Bent and set Fore staysail and on steaming covers. To avoid being set to leeward of Seychelles and having to use steam against strong trade winds and NW current up steam in starboard boiler and proceeded under steam and fore and aft sails. Swell from SE. Mustered at Quarters. Down Top gallant masts and set spanker. Split Jib. Down Jib.
