At anchor. Wind NNE force 2 with broken cloud. Barometer 30.10 inches rising to 30.16 at 0800 before falling to 30.07 at 1600 and finishing at 30.13 inches  at midnight. Temperature at noon. 82F. 0550. Weighed and took BOURET and PIGEON in tow. 0645. Proceeded. Steaming and steering as requisite for Zanzibar Harbour at 4.2 knots. 09000. Cleaning ship throughout. . 1200. Made number to TURQUOISE in Zanzibar harbour.  1230. Stopped and cast off tow. BOURET and PIGEON anchored. 1250. Came to in 9 fathoms and veered to 2 ½ shackles. Let fires die out in two boilers. Anchorage bearings Clock tower N66E. Ke??? (Unreadable) N9E magnetic. 1540. Commenced coaling.  1855. HMS Boadicea (Flag) arrived. 2200. Finished coaling. Received 60 tons. Coal expended 8 tons 13 cwt. Number on sick list 5.
