Royal Marine Bugler at funerals
You might like to note that any veteran, irrespective of rank, who has served more than 22 years or has a campaign medal is entitled to the services of a bugler, free of charge, at their funeral This is subject to operational commitments/availability.

Scattering of ashes at sea
The Royal Navy offer a free service to all ex services personal to commit ashes at sea on a Wednesday between April and October, a brief private service is held for each family when the ashes are released (limited to usually 6 people per family) with up to 6 committals per Wednesday (1 sailing).
If at Portsmouth then tea & coffee and a small gathering is held after at St Anne’s in the dockyard after. Names are also entered into book of remembrance at St Anne’s Church also.

White ensign on loan for coffin
The HMS Cossack Association is able to loan a White Ensign to drape over a coffin for any member that served in HMS Cossack.
