Extract from a letter sent home by Captain Begg. “Hong Kong. I was so glad to get ……your statement of accounts. These look very satisfactory and I am sure that even with the capital cost you have had putting in the Ideal boiler etc and allowing for the increasing cost of living they show there is no need – and certainly in these uncertain times no point – in worrying.
