Extract from a letter sent home by Captain Begg. “Sasebo. Our four days here have been the usual mad rush. Meetings, conferences, discussions and one thing and another all day. Dinner parties with one of or other of our allies all night!… I also wish I wasn’t missing the boys: they both sound very sweet and although I daresay they need a bit of father’s firm hand!”
