At number 5 buoy in Bombay Harbour.  Wind calm with broken cloud. Barometer 30.05 inches rising to 30.09 at 0800 before falling to 30.04 at noon and finishing at midnight at 30.07 inches.  Temperature at noon 79F. 0430. Steam up in cutter.  Received 120 lbs of fresh beef and 57 lbs of vegetables plus 182 lbs of bread. 0730. HMS Brisk relieved the Guard. 0900. Employed drawing stores and painting boats. 1400. As in the forenoon. Coal expended 7 cwt. Number on sick list 12.
