Shaped to NE by ¾ E at 85 revolutions – 8.5 knots. 0900. Altered course to NE ¼ N. Wind south force 3. 0930. Mustered by Divisions and read prayers. Training party at gun drill. Marines at drill. Employed as requisite. Position at noon 2.29S 40.54E. Altered course to NE ¾ E and reduced to 65 revolutions – 6/5 knots. 1300. Course as requisite for Manda Bay. Make and mend clothes. 1515 Stopped and came to in Manda Bay in 8 ½ fathoms and veered to 3 shackles. Banked fires. Anchorage bearings. Isle le Manda S74E Ras Kilinaline S13E.  1715. Mustered at Quarters. Coal expended 11 tons 8 cwt. Number on sick list 8.
