0730 tacked  NE for Port Louis. Wind failing and slo heading. Shortened and furled sails.

0900. Commenced steaming. Course NE ½ N. Noon . Cape Brabant SE 1/2S. Mount Tamarin E by N.

1600 Light ship east 8 miles. The health officer and Assistant harbour master came onboard Moored at Navy moorings. Mauritius. Authorities very much surprised at our extraordinary quick passage to Tamatare and back
