Barometer 30.00 inches rising to 30.05 at 0800 and t0 30.06 at noon before falling to 29.93 at 1600 and then rising to 30.00 at 2000 and finishing at 30.03 inches at midnight. Temperature at noon. 83F. 0200. Received 128 lbs of beef and 64 lbs of vegetables plus 250 lbs of bread. 0600. Dockyard men onboard. 14 Shipwrights, 4 Coolies, 12 fitters, 2 apprentices and 3 Boilermakers. Employed as requisite. Ordinary Seamen and Boys at seamanship. Noon. Wind west force 1. 1300.
