In dry dock at Bombay. Wind calm with broken cloud. Barometer 30.08 inches rising to 30.11 at 0800 and to 30.12 at noon and then falling to 30.08 at1600 before rising to 30.12 at 2000 and finishing at 30.13 inches at midnight. Temperature at noon 92F. 0745. Employed as requisite. Dockyard men onboard. 18 Shipwrights, 16 fitters, 15 Boilermakers, 20 riveters, 1 Cooper 3 Plumbers, 3 Painters and 5 Apprentices.  Employed in getting out cable. Noon. Wind calm. 1330. Ship’s Company returned to Sailor’s Home. Dockyard men as in forenoon. Coal expended 1 cwt. Number on sick list 6.
