Made fast to East Wall of basin at Bombay.  Wind calm with broken cloud. Barometer 30.09 inches rising to 30.10 at 0800 and to 30.11 at noon  then to 30.16 at 1600 before finishing at 30.10 inches at midnight. Temperature at noon 75F. 0740. Employed as requisite. 0800.  Dockyard men onboard. 14 shipwrights. 4 Boilermakers, 7 labourers, 1 Cooper and 10 Riveters. 1330. Ship’s Company returned to Sailor’s Home. Dockyard men as in forenoon. Coal expended Nil. Number on sick list 6.
