Made fast to East Wall of basin at Bombay.  Wind calm with broken cloud. Barometer 30.10 inches rising to 30.12 at 0800 and 30.17 at noon before falling to 30.11 at 1600 and then rising to 30.17i inches at 2000 where it finished at midnight. Temperature at noon 74F.  0400. Employed as requisite.  Dockyard men – 6 fitters, I plumber, 2 labourers, 8 engine room fitters and one foreman. Employed as requisite. Noon wind NW force 1. 1320. Returned to Sailor’s Home. Dockyard men as in forenoon.  Coal expended 4 cwt. Number on sick list 5.
