Barometer 30.24 inches rising to 30.28 at 0800 and to 30l33 at noon before falling to 30.25 at 1600 and then rising to 30.27 at 2000 before finishing at 30.26 inches at midnight. Temperature at noon 75F.  0650. Dropped target. Carried out tube practice at target. 0740. Finished practice. Proceeded on S11E at 65 revolutions for Muscat.  0800. Wind west force 2. 1000. Stopped and came to on starboard anchor in 13 fathoms of Muscat.  Anchor bearings. Salali Fort S35E. Pinnacle Rock S58E. Ras Rallbu fort S66W. Draught forward 13 feet 4 inches. Aft 15 feet. Employed as requisite. Noon. Wind west force 1 to 2. . 1300. Employed as requisite. Prepared for coaling. 1600.  Wind NW force 1. Received 4 tons of water for washing. 200. Wind calm. Coal expended 9 tons 10 cwt.  Number on sick list 7.
