Barometer 29.98 inches rising t5o 30.14 at 0800 before falling to 30.08 at noon and to 30.00 at 1600 and then rising to 30.02 inches at 2000 where it finished at midnight. Temperature at noon 86F.  0200. Received 134 lbs of beef and 62 lbs of vegetables plus 150 lb s of bread.  0400. Distilling. 0800 Divisions and prayers. Torpedo and gunnery classes at instruction. Remainder as requisite.  Noon. Wind SE force 1 with broken cloud. 1300. Torpedo class at instruction. Torpedo training class at instruction. Port battery at divisional drill Remainder as requisite. 1600. Port watch exercise – Out fire engine for fire ashore.  Scrub and wash clothes. Midnight. Distilling. Coal expended 3 tons 4 cwt.
