Moored to single buoy in Bombay Harbour. Wind NW force 2 with broken cloud. Barometer 29.92 inches rising to 29.97 at 0800 and falling to 29.95 at noon before finishing at 29.98 inches at midnight. Temperature at noon 85F. 0200. Received 120 lbs of fresh beef and 60 lbs of vegetables plus 228 lbs of soft bread. 0400. Read Warrant number 70. 0910 Divisions. 0940. HMS Plassey and three torpedo boats arrived and secured to a buoy. 100. C in C arrived onboard and commenced inspection.  Mustered hands by Open List by Divisions. Exercised hands at General Quarters. Man and Arm Ship. Small Arms Company fully equipped. (Next line difficult to read but contains the words Boys and hammocks) Noon. Wind west force 2. 1210.
