Barometer 29.84 inches rising to 29.87 at 0600  before falling to 29.85 at 1600 and finishing at 29.90 inches at midnight. Temperature at noon 88F. 0400. Received 112 ls of fresh beef and 56 lbs of vegetables plus 185 lbs of bread. . 0400. Boats away sweeping and creeping for dinghy. 0800. Divisions and prayers. 0900. Raised steam in cutter. 1440. Coal lighter came alongside.  Veered to 5 shackles. 1700. Quarters. Drew fires in cutter. Coal expended 8 cwt. Number on sick list 4.
