In Dry Dock at Bombay. Wind NW force 1 with broken cloud. Barometer 30.09 inches rising to 30.15 at noon before falling to 30.07 at 1600 and finishing at midnight at 30.09 inches,. Temperature at noon 75F. 0030. HMS Plessey sailed.

 

H.M.S. Plassey was one of thirteen Sharpshooter class torpedo gunboats, and one of two allocated to the Royal Indian Marine. 19 knots. Armament Two 4.7-inch quick-firing guns. Four 3-pounder guns. Five 14-inch torpedo tubes and eight torpedoes

  1. Received 120 lbs of fresh beef and 60 lbs of vegetables plus 193 lbs of bread. 0800. Employed white washing mess decks. Overhauling accoutrements, scraping and painting and as requisite. Noon. Wind NNW force 1. As in forenoon and returning M.H. Rifles. 1600. General leave to port watch. 1700 quarters. 1730. Hands bathed. Coal expended 7 cwt. Number on sick list 2.
